Long awaited next-generation telecommunications licences 3G and 4G will now available for public of Pakistan, Pakistan raises $1.2 billion with 3G and 4G license auction. Government sold 4 license of 3G service and 1 for 4G connection, although one 4G license still on pending to auction.
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar in January predict of raising atleast $2 billion from both spectrum auction. To boos Pakistan's floundering economy, these were necessary measures.

HotSpot Shield strengthens VPN

The HotSpot Shield VPN now incorporates an anti-malware site blocker. HotSpot Shield maker AnchorFree has built an extra wall of protection into its popular virtual private network software, available today.

The update adds a malware site guard to the VPN client without requiring you to download a new version of the program because the changes have all been made on the server, not on your computer.

With the anti-malware site guard in place, HotSpot Shield will throw up a warning like the one you see in the screenshot above. Available on Windows, Mac, and iOS, the new anti-malware site protection is based off a database of more than 3 million malicious sites. Between the three operating systems, AnchorFree says that HotSpot Shield has more than 10 million active monthly users. Since the site guard is implemented on the server-side, it will be available in the coming HotSpot ShieldAndroid app, too.

For people who use the free, ad-supported version of HotSpot Shield, the new guard will block malware sites. If you upgrade to the ad-free and bandwidth-prioritized Elite version, you will also receive protection against three additional types of passive Web threats. These include otherwise safe sites that have been infected by third-party malware, phishing sites, and sites that promulgate spam.

AnchorFree CEO David Gorodyansky said during a phone call on Tuesday that the update makes HotSpot Shield a complete secure browsing solution. "There was no issue for us in integrating the secure browsing with the VPN."

PROTECT IP

PIPA would give the government new powers to block Americans' access websites that corporations don't like. The bill lets corporations and the US government censor entire websites and cut sites off from advertising, payments and donations.

A mobile Internet connection can be shared via a wired or wireless ad hoc network

Sharing a mobile Internet connection is a good way to take advantage of the high-speed data connections offered by mobile carriers. As long as you have a smartphone or Aircard with a data plan, you can share high-speed Internet access between computers wherever you have a cell signal. Sharing the connection requires an ad-hoc network to be established between all computers that will share the mobile Internet. The connection may be made via an Ethernet cable or wireless connection.

     Enable Internet connection sharing on the host computer. Open the Control Panel and click on Network and Internet Connections. Next, click on Internet Connections and right-click the connection that you will be sharing (it will likely be called Mobile Broadband or WWAN, standing for wireless wide area network). Click Properties and open the Advanced tab. Check the box that allows other computers to use the host computer's Internet connection.
